New generation technologies in regenerative therapies.

An injectable, birth-tissue based therapy to regenerate the heart after a myocardial infarction and prevent heart failure.

The problem

Heart failure is a leading cause of morbimortality worldwide.

Current treatments manage symptoms and slow progression, but fail to repair or regenerate damaged myocardium. With an aging population, the clinical and economic burden keeps growing.

people affected by heart failure globally

of cases originate from ischemic events like myocardial infarction

of patients die within five years of diagnosis

Our solution

Heart regeneration.

We are developing a first-in-class, injectable regenerative therapy designed to repair the heart after myocardial infarction. It is delivered directly into the damaged cardiac tissue during existing procedures, where it helps restore function and limit long-term damage.

Unlike current treatments that only slow disease progression, our approach aims to address the root cause by repairing the injured heart tissue.

What happens to the heart after a heart attack

Irreversible tissue damage

The blocked artery starves part of the heart muscle of oxygen. Cells in that area die within hours.

Technology

An injectable regenerative biomaterial.

01

Nature-inspired

Inspired by naturally regenerative human tissues, known for their ability to support healing and restore damaged environments.

02

Scalable

We translate these biological principles into a practical, scalable therapy designed for real-world clinical use.

03

Minimally invasive

Delivered during existing cardiac procedures, with no additional surgery.

In the hospital

How the treatment is administered.

Our therapy is designed to fit into the care a heart attack patient already receives, with no additional surgery.

1

The patient is treated for the heart attack

After a myocardial infarction, the patient undergoes the standard procedure to reopen the blocked artery and restore blood flow.

2

The therapy is injected into the damaged area

During that same procedure, the injectable biomaterial is delivered directly into the injured cardiac tissue.

3

The tissue begins to regenerate

The biomaterial creates an environment that supports the repair of the damaged muscle, helping restore function and limit long-term damage.

Amnova's therapy is under development and is not yet available for clinical use.

Roadmap

From the lab to the clinic.

The path every new therapy must follow before reaching patients.

  1. 1
    Development

    First version of the hydrogel

Initial formulation of the injectable biomaterial.

  2. 2
    Development

    Optimized version

    Refining composition, handling and injectability.

  3. 3
    Development

    Bioinformatic and in vitro studies

Characterizing the biological activity of the therapy in the lab.

  4. 4
    Development

    Animal studies

Evaluating safety and efficacy in preclinical models of myocardial infarction.

  5. 5
    Regulatory

    Regulatory process (FDA)

Submitting the preclinical package to obtain authorization for human trials.

  6. 6
    Clinical

    Phase I clinical trials

First studies in patients, focused on safety.

  7. 7
    Clinical

    Phase II clinical trials

Evaluating efficacy and the optimal dose in a larger group of patients.

  8. 8
    Clinical

    Phase III clinical trials

Large-scale confirmation of benefit ahead of approval.
